There's a UBI post on FB being reposted by thousands of accounts that's pro-UBI disinfo. No, Sweden didn't do a big UBI pilot where 5,000 Swedes got $1800/mo in UBI for 3 years. That never happened. The "results" appear to be AI-generated. UBI works. It doesn't need false data. See my pinned thread.

AI should be used to remove tasks that have no meaning for us as humans, not to replace the humanity in “lower level” positions.

Liberals care about the Epstein docs and conspiracy theories now.

Non-Christian and liberal gun owners might join the NRA after this latest act of violence (once the conversation inevitably shifts towards discriminatory bans).

Everything is doing an Uno reverse and no one is talking about why.

I’m not a fan of RFK. I don’t believe psych drugs are causing this. But it’s time we start talking about why this is happening. Young men aren’t just “like this”.

We, as a culture, have become good at raising school shooters, because young men have been culturally and socially abandoned.

If you believe people should follow the words of Jesus, you have to start with yourself rather than with others.

And that’s not my personal opinion. He said that.

This is a reminder that private equity and investment firms have no use for single family homes other than extracting money.

These companies add no value to the market, so why are they considered valuable by anyone?

Our economy is broken. The concepts of value and money have diverged.
The number of first-time homebuyers has plummeted, and is now just half the historical average.

Trump is withholding BILLIONS in education funding, including $30 million for Hawaii. Every state is impacted.

Afterschool programs, student enrichment programs, & many others could close.

Trump must reverse course or students will pay the price.

Gerrymandering is wild.

You’d think displaying such contempt for the people you’re supposed to represent would turn people off.

Turns out people forget that the point of winning is to fairly represent your constituents, not force legislation they didn’t want upon them.

Any advanced, social alien species would understand that simply giving another species “the right answer” would lead to catastrophe long term.

It’s like a small child trying to pull a can of soup off the counter. They won’t understand why they shouldn’t until they get a can to the face

Liberal politicians are more likely to have extramarital affairs. Republican politicians are more likely to commit sex crimes.

Abstinence-based sex ed leads to more pregnancies. Religious celibacy often leads to sexual abuse.

The more we repress discourse about sexual issues, the worse they get.

The biggest threat to our country is large government contractors extracting wealth directly from tax payers by influencing political decisions — e.g. through lobbying, donations, bribes, special government employees, etc.

They take our money without our consent, and our politicians are complicit.

“And I do believe that there is a lot of waste. There's minimal amounts of fraud. And abuse, to me, feels relatively nonexistent.”

Seems like a good guy who just wanted to make a difference. Too bad he was fired, likely for being “too transparent”.

He did the right thing.

The only long-term answer to fear is compassion for others.

In times of struggle, being big and strong is much less effective than have lots of devoted friends.

Fundamentalist tactic #1:
“You’re either with us 100% or you’re siding with the enemy”.

This isn’t real. See, I can oppose the dipshits in both groups.

Iran has up to 10% of the earth’s known supply of antimony, one of the most valuable minerals in the world.
