Some of the sketches. Typically with clients I do a "pasta at the wall" round, especially when we aren't quite 100% on direction, then once we have a firmer direction I provide color alternates and more refinement of silhouettes/expression.

This semester’s test glazes, the yellow didn’t turn out the way I wanted but look at that lovely blue!

This was satin white over rod’s bod clay, cone 10. I’m really happy with how this glaze turned out, I was a little worried it would be too white but I forgot how much rod’s bod speckles. A happy surprise.

I have always enjoyed games and my partner never has. He played Mario and arcade games as a child but has rejected every game I’ve tried to entice him with, from side scrollers to rogue-likes. So imagine my utter shock that THIS…THIS is the first game in 17 years that he wants to play.

Another rad project from this fall, I was asked to reimagine the cover of "Divergent" for a deluxe, special edition printing from HarperCollins. The cover will be foiled & embossed, w/ a beautiful silver foil type treatment on the paper edges. ADs Amy & Joel were truly a delight to work with!

Cosmo is very careful with stuffed toys, he does not tear them up, he lovingly carries them around the house like they are his best friends. This is a Christmas pickle someone gave him over three years ago :,,,)
