On of my favorite players as a kid and my inspiration as a player when taking the field. As a college student, I had his poster on my wall (along with one of Mark Grace, naturally). Sad day
With great sadness, we share that Ryne Sandberg has passed away today.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.

Ok, world, I need help. This toast sticker has been on my daughter’s phone for 6+ years. Clearly, it’s seen better days but I can’t find a new one anywhere. Can you find this sticker?

Local reporting is critical, & I'm thankful my rural NEOH community has The Portager to keep our community informed. This latest story of a Sheriff disregarding court orders could have gone unnoticed. Now there is a chance for change before someone gets hurt/dies.

At a rental home for the holidays back in Western NY where lake effect is in full gear. Snowed in with 18 people spanning 4 generations. Things have been fine until the reality of enough grounds for one more pot of coffee became known. Now we’re at Hunger Games status. I have set my alarm for 5 am.

Is it possible to have "imposter syndrome" for imposter syndrome? There are times when working on a major project* that I wonder whether I even have reached that threshold.

(*now I'm wondering if this "major project" even qualifies for that title)

With Republicans now floating cutting Medicaid (again), a reminder: research shows that cuts to Medicaid is also harmful to public safety and is linked to increases in crime. (Even while those responsible would never get painted as responsible for crime.)

New platform, so a blank feed. What persona will my posts convey: Hot takes that someday my children will need to defend when a job does a deep family background check? Random cat photos? Promoter of community? Fighter against injustice? Or just a lurker in the background?

Lurker, most likely.
