Calvinism is deeply ingrained in white evangelicalism. Especially predestination. The idea that some people are predestined for salvation while everyone else is not is key to understanding the deep divide in this country. The problem is, evangelicals think THEY are the elect.

That's a thankless job. I've done it. Ir's even worse if companies keep buying up condos and turning them into Section 8 housing.
