It's the only one since Empire that I can appreciate as a film.

I don't really even understand what "self-indulgent" means as a putdown. Whose self is an artist supposed to indulge? The opposite would be Hallmark movies authored by algorithms. (And no dis to those who like Hallmark movies either! )

And the reason it is failing is because so far, AI has brought about basically NO ROI.

They've pushed far harder than just to make it "a fad." It very well may create a national depression when the market collapses, so much money has already been funneled into the enterprise.

Great show, although grim, sometimes.
