1) action (any variety) will take way more panels/pages than anticipated. give it space
2) make it shorter. make it more meaningful. EVERY line is *precious.* do not waste them
3) if your chars are just conversating, no they aren't. they're eating, leaning, playing with sleeves, scratching noses

Following up on my portfolio critique list: Any of you comics writers who teach feel like coming up with a list of 12 Things You Would Probably Tell an Aspiring Writer about their Comic Script?
Great idea! I'm not the guy to do it, but I'm sure it could be done: "The story starts on page three." "The protagonist's efforts would be more compelling if you established what the stakes are if she fails" etc.
