Whelp…tomorrow begins December and it’s time for my self-imposed immersion into Christmas music and only that for the next 25 days. I am adding this newly discovered (thanks BlueSky) performance to my daily intake. 🤗🎄🎅🏻🌲
I’m putting this out again this year. But this time I will NOT be putting it on Twiiter, so please - help me spread the word here. Thank you. youtube.com/watch?v=ChDi...

Today, November 25th 2024 is the day we officially learned that justice in America, in fact, does NOT matter. #sad
The moral of the story, kids: It’s fine to try to stop the peaceful transfer of power and incite a mob to storm the Capitol and do all you can to overturn an election as long as you run again and win 🇺🇸

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

I want you all to know that I valiantly ignored vacuuming to write this piece about yesterday's haka, haka in general, and why I think it resonates so far. #kikorangi

It's the haka heard around the world but why does it resonate so much with people outside of Aotearoa New Zealand?

What made my skin burn most wasn’t that over 75 million people voted for Donald Trump. It was that this election didn’t seem to measurably change anything for the boys around me, whether their parents supported Mr. Trump or not.

I love a floppy book. The pages stay where they are, no spines get cracked and it sits comfortably in your hand.

There, that’s my great insight shared for this week.

As you were.

Feels like I'm just posting to the void since I'm just getting started here, but why not. I write a weekly newsletter, and this week I write about how far away from reading and critical thinking we’ve come. It's lacking in our education, COVID learning loss, social media attention spans, all of it.
We need to get back to reading and critical thinking
Because 2024 feels different from 2016.
