Temperature dropped to -24 Celsius last night in London Ontario. This is one of the coldest spells of winter seen in a long time. Slippery surface from ice and snow in lanes make many highways prone to loss-of-control collisions such as this one on Highbury Ave south of Commissioners Road.

Unusual result of fatality to school bus driver on entrance ramp from Veterans Memorial Parkway onto WB Highway 401 in London Ontario. Bus exited, still upright, to R ditch & came to rest on right side. Officially, no obvious reason for fatality. But no one mentioned that a pole had been struck.

Documentation of traffic on Clarke Road in north-east of London Ontario has been conducted by Gorski Consulting since 2009. A recent resident complaint has caused further testing which is described in a new website article at www.gorskiconsulting.com. City of London needs to deal with this problem.

Ford government knew its belief that cycling lanes cause traffic congestion had no basis but created Bill 212 anyway to remove cycling lanes in downtown Toronto. Experts at trial demonstrated that "induced demand" would re-introduce congestion after a short break. Ford dumb, crooked or both?

Canadian injury data indicates that e-scooter injuries are increasing. Yet much of that data remains hidden from public review. Meanwhile the numbers of collisions involving e-scooters also remain under-reported. This is at a time when most officials keep publicizing their support of road safety.

Storm water is not a new thing, it has to be planned for when road systems are designed. Road inspectors ought to know when storms continue to cause flooding at specific areas. This "Sinkhole" on Steeles Ave in Brampton Ontario was not an unforeseeable result, just lack of proactive inspection.

Recently tire blow-out on a school in London Ontario sounded like an explosion. Driver reported alarm went off on bus reporting "Emerg Exit" which was unrelated to tire. Reminder to investigators who examine recorded event data that unrelated faults can be registered that complicate matters.

The City of London Ontario planted a number of trees at the Forks in downtown to commemorate itself as the Forest City. Cycling there this Easter revealed that the City cut down all those trees and left only the stumps. Great progress. Hat off to the City planners for this great "improvement".

Official news media focused the driver who was not injured but charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and stunt driving. But what about the fire! How severe was the impact? Is this an expected & safe result? What was done to inform the public? Bring out more of the red herrings.

Spring is supposed to bring warmth, flowers & green grass in London Ontario. But in the late afternoon of April 7, 2025 it brought a winter snowfall. And by dawn on April 8th even main arterial roads such as Highbury Ave were still snow-covered. Drivers had to remember that side roads were icy.

An alleged steering failure caused a school bus to crash into a parked car in west end of London Ontario earlier this week. If it was a defect it could ground thousands of buses thru out Canada & US. This important story was not detected by any local news agencies in London area.

This cyclist riding across Hamilton Rd in London Ontario has no helmet, very close to area where fatal collision occurred last year. Installing cycling lanes will help but will not help this rider. So we also need education & financial support to persons who place themselves in such danger.

City of London continued to install portable "Scout" video systems this spring. Current locations are along Ridout St & attached photo shows installation at Baseline Rd location. Photo was taken on March 27, 2025. No info is ever provided to as to what data is being collected & by whom.

Cyclist observations by Gorski Consulting in London Ontario have shown that harsh conditions this current winter resulted in just 6% of riders being female. This is a drop from overall yearly averages of about 13% in the past few years.

The City of London Ontario continues to create road-marking chaos in construction zones throughout the City. The attached photo shows another, of many, example where the City has completely abandoned official guidelines for how to move traffic safely through construction zones.

City of London Ontario continues to create confusing and dangerous roadway markings in construction zones. The latest disaster exists in the southbound lanes of Highbury Ave while approaching Dundas St.

After spending millions of $ to create "Dundas Place" and thereby destroy Dundas St and downtown London, Ontario the City is now using local media to "consult" taxpayers about what can be done to revive the area. How about leaving local entrepreneurs alone so they can rebuild their businesses?

This "safety-conscious" fellow was observed carrying a spare wheel on Hamilton Road in London, Ontario on March 27, 2025. Who says that you can't possess a spare tire for emergency purposes just because you ride a bike? But no helmet.

Fire, after 2 trucks collide on Hwy 402 outside of Sarnia Ontario, should not be viewed as inevitable result but it is treated as so. While some fires are difficult to avoid many may be prevented if their source is properly investigated. Occurrence of fires in transportation collisions is growing.
