Temperature dropped to -24 Celsius last night in London Ontario. This is one of the coldest spells of winter seen in a long time. Slippery surface from ice and snow in lanes make many highways prone to loss-of-control collisions such as this one on Highbury Ave south of Commissioners Road.

The pole had been holding up a traffic camera. The bus also just missed the end of a ET-Plus guardrail terminal so not helpful. Still mystery why driver died.
Unusual result of fatality to school bus driver on entrance ramp from Veterans Memorial Parkway onto WB Highway 401 in London Ontario. Bus exited, still upright, to R ditch & came to rest on right side. Officially, no obvious reason for fatality. But no one mentioned that a pole had been struck.

Development of student residence along with a proposed 21-storey apartment tower at University Drive and Epworth Ave in London has caused a local community group to contact Gorski Consulting to conduct a traffic study. Details to follow.

2 lies about speed cameras in Ontario do not add up to a single truth. Municipalities refuse to reveal threshold speed & Premier Ford uses this to argue its a tax grab. Both are wrong & both are creating a dangerous situation where dangerous drivers will not be detected.

Don't ever allow your vehicle to leave the road or it will catch fire & you will die. That seems to be message from Waterloo Regional Police who reported fatality on Weimar Line. Great reporting of detailed facts! Although police closed Rd for 10 hrs they will not tell you how or why driver died.

Toronto Speed Camera "Tax Grab" and "coordinated vandalism" are two phrases at opposite ends of a heated debate. News media have reported that 16 additional speed cameras have been damaged overnight in Toronto and that Ontario's Premier Doug Ford is supporting the vandalism. Interesting.

Documentation of traffic on Clarke Road in north-east of London Ontario has been conducted by Gorski Consulting since 2009. A recent resident complaint has caused further testing which is described in a new website article at www.gorskiconsulting.com. City of London needs to deal with this problem.

Ford government knew its belief that cycling lanes cause traffic congestion had no basis but created Bill 212 anyway to remove cycling lanes in downtown Toronto. Experts at trial demonstrated that "induced demand" would re-introduce congestion after a short break. Ford dumb, crooked or both?

Canadian injury data indicates that e-scooter injuries are increasing. Yet much of that data remains hidden from public review. Meanwhile the numbers of collisions involving e-scooters also remain under-reported. This is at a time when most officials keep publicizing their support of road safety.

Storm water is not a new thing, it has to be planned for when road systems are designed. Road inspectors ought to know when storms continue to cause flooding at specific areas. This "Sinkhole" on Steeles Ave in Brampton Ontario was not an unforeseeable result, just lack of proactive inspection.

In darkened tent, with smoke of incense, genius looks into crystal ball & predicts future: Tomorrow someone will die because many others decided not to tell them of danger. Many others with medals, titles & fancy uniforms will pronounce how wonderful the dead one was. & that is all. Tomorrow repeat

Should say "school bus", not "school".
Recently tire blow-out on a school in London Ontario sounded like an explosion. Driver reported alarm went off on bus reporting "Emerg Exit" which was unrelated to tire. Reminder to investigators who examine recorded event data that unrelated faults can be registered that complicate matters.

Teacher & 4 students from Walkerton Ontario were killed on Friday, May 23, 2025 north-east of London, Ontario. While police have released no information about the tragedy many persons posted racist comments on X blaming the foreign truck driver who has not been named. Racists are always experts.

6-yr-old child killed in unreported collision in Sombra, Lambton County Ontario on April 29, 2025. This not reported until May 23, 2025, almost a month later! A publication ban has reportedly been placed, presumably by a court. Appalling situation. Children can be killed without reporting how.

Child reportedly sustained "severe injuries". Questionable argument is that officials should be able to conceal info about cause of child injuries as the public should not have a right to know. This logic is more like Russian, Chinese or other authoritarian, closed societies, not democracies.
Questionable disclosure of injuries to children leads to likelihood that causes of those injuries are being hidden from public scrutiny. An example is where a child sustained "life-altering injuries this week in collision in Vaughan Ontario where no disclosure in questionable circumstances.

I found out yesterday that a group of golfing buddies from southern Ontario who annually drive to South Carolina will not do so this year principally because of their concern over the Trump border guards. Cancelled their reservations. This is result of Trumpism which hurts on both sides of border.

A clue: Children should be more protected than adults in collisions because they should be in child seats or infant carriers. So when no adults sustain "life-altering" injuries but children do that is an obvious problem. Not obvious enough because no one challenged this report.
A child reportedly sustained "life-altering" injuries in a 2-vehicle collision near Cold Creek and Kirby roads in Vaughan last weekend. But this is all you will ever know about it. Only 1 additional adult sustained minor injuries. Does that not raise any alarms?
