Becoming accustomed to the notations and writing of some of those articles comes with proceeding through a mathematics program. You won’t get it all as an undergrad of course, but you’ll get a foothold.

Look at Charles Murray’s comment about the new proof of the Pythagorean theorem developed by the three teenage girls a few years ago. He said it was “impossible” and wondered when it would be shown to be incorrect. Of course, they were young women of color so his racism came into play too.

I’m paywalled and can’t see that article. I think we’re using “doesn’t matter” in different ways. I’m coming from the math world: it doesn’t matter to us whether she is or is not trans. You’re referring to the greater world. I think the right would dismiss it simply because she’s not a white man.

Hannah Cairo (if that's to whom you refer) has done an amazing bit of work and is undoubtably brilliant, but nowhere I've seen has it been stated she is trans. If she is that matters no a flea's whit: I just wonder what your source for that is.

Enshittification is a clever marketing word but come on, it doesn't describe anything new: it's a single word for what capitalism expects all businesses to do if the owners want them to succeed: suck customers in, then slowly degrade the product to enhance returns.
