Carbon Pink was born out of my honeymoon phase with D&D (and not knowing internet abbreviations), but it feels like cyberpunk has to have a "80's-90's vibe" because the actual modern world is too, y'know, shit.

Which is why fantasy is more fun.

I dont see this happening as much with "friendslop" because those games feel smaller and dont have aggressive monetization like Fall Guys, Rocket League, Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, etc.

I attribute a lot of this to mental time occupation. Why play the new Sonic themed Fall guys when I can continue to play Fall Guys, which already demands my time with its BP grind nonsense? There's only so much room for uber successful multiplayer games that make a billion dollars
