Wow, I had the complete opposite opinion. I thought the story was an interesting imagining of society in the decades since the first 28 Days. The ritualization in particular made the movie for me as well as the portrayal of the "infected."

I've been binging season 1. I remember it used to be on Netflix but disappeared before I could finish it. So happy that it's on Crunchyroll and that there are several seasons to watch! Such an incredible show. Puppets and old fashioned HKTVB period drama!
