Genuinely my first thought on waking up was to dig out my copy and see if a signature had appeared. Still haven't checked because I like it being a possibility

Yeah that tracks. I was mostly sincere in this belief and then a couple of weeks ago I had this fucking dream three nights in a row and now I think I fully believe it and that Grant Morrison was giving me wizard training in the dream world. I genuinely can't think of a more reasonable explanation.

I fully believe Grant Morrison is also a wizard and when they refer to having chaos magic duels with Alan Moore they are being 100% literal

This has been my pinned post on the bad tweet site for some years now and it brings me joy every time

I enjoy quoting Adam Smith at landlord defenders and watching them tie themselves up in absolute knots about how either (a) Adam Smith was a radical Marxist or (b) landlords were obviously unacceptable in the 1700s but, inexplicably, are fine now because it's a necessity (genuinely saw this one)

The empty quarter of the screen was annoying me so here we are

It's by far my biggest issue and I don't understand why it doesn't draw more attention other than in the abstract. I fundamentally cannot respect a belief system where Jonas Salk is in hell and Dick Cheney is in heaven! It is unserious!

(And probably most people don't *really* believe it but, without showing my Flying Spaghetti Monster hat too obnoxiously, I suspect a majority of religious people do not actually believe what they say they do or think about their claimed beliefs in any detail, which is an entirely separate issue)

Oh yeah I agree, just something that comes to mind with people who haven't made it clear that they reject that (reprehensible) part

"all atheists have committed the ultimate blasphemy and deserve to be tortured in hell. Oh yeah my wife's one of those. Love her haha, what can you do eh". Sir I don't think you actually believe in your beliefs, one of these must surely have to go
November 10, 2025 at 10:11 AM
I don't really have any faith so the whole concept is strange to me, but I struggle to understand how you can belong to a religion that holds non-believers are damned to eternal punishment and just... not have an issue that this applies to your partner? Feels like you must not really believe it tbh

My dog says the word "orb" with impressive range and variations. Nobody quite believes this until they hear him and say "oh yeah he says orb doesn't he"

This isn't mocking, nobody deserves cancer and it's not funny or anything, but surely there are better ways to deal with the resulting anxieties!

This was my immediate thought, and not for the first time - he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and had surgery for it in 2018 which is roughly when he really went full blast on the transphobia and never changed gear since. Coincidence?

Convincing stuff, Dan Houser, thanks for the input.

I am a UK employment lawyer and uhh. Not to jump to conclusions and all that (please feel free to jump to conclusions, I just kind of have to say that as a token gesture) but this sounds about as bad to me as you might imagine it does.
