Retired and retiring. Passing the days on the little Mississippi River (not the big one, the other one).
Awesome band.

You mean we can’t rename Lake Ontario to Lake Donald Go F&&k Yourself?

Chairman Don values fealty alone. Competence is not a consideration.

This has a whole Duke of Windsor vibe to it. He was ousted in 2020 and has relied on his Nazi buddies to get back in. It didn't work in 1940 because of the bravery of politicians and the people alive at the time. Now, this demented shit heel is doing whatever he wants with no effective opposition.

The US is China's third largest customer, after Southeast Asia and the EU. They can afford this. They also hold $900B in US bonds.

I'm sure the orders went out in an ultra-secret Signal Chat.

Was one of those calls from Ben Dover in Kissmyarsistan?

Every word out of Trump’s mouth is a lie. That makes things very clear.

I guess his buddies resolved their short positions and pocketed billions. Must have been lively conversation in MAL last night.

His Dementedness will wait two weeks and claim victory, having forgotten the whole thing.

I’m thinking he didn’t stiff any of Nicky Scarfo’s people.

Canada should implement higher tariffs to compensate for this unfair socialist advantage.
April 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM
The rest of the world should have been doing this more diligently for decades now. Trump is the ultimate expression of where US democracy has been headed since Eisenhower or before. Their much-vaunted "checks and balances" are worthless against a lifelong scofflaw.

This guy gives off a distinct Ernst Röhm vibe. Things did not go well for Röhm.

I have no stock portfolio, but, as is usual, my pension funds are invested, as required by law. We are all taking a shellacking. It's just that I can't see it ... yet.

Trump couldn't care less. He wanted something to hold up while he added his goofy signature. He expects the world to come running to negotiate, but I think he will be underwhelmed. In 1890, the US was the big dog. In 2025, there are far more options.

He looks like a ten-day-old gas station hot dog with legs.

I worry that some Canadian politician, whether Smith in Alberta or Poilievre in Ottawa, will suggest a Brexit-like referendum on joining the U.S. Such an idea should be disqualifying for their electoral dreams, but might not be so. Cameron thought it a slam dunk, but the British people got slammed.

There is a reason that the caddies call him "Pele."
April 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM
More accurately, TDS is Trump Delusion Syndrome; the delusion that he is competent and totally not a racist and misogynist.
April 2, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Trump continues to claim that Canadians will pay his tariffs. The only increase in revenue for the US is coming directly from American wallets. Nobody else is covering that bill.
April 2, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Did Carney threaten to call him Premier Trump, leader of our 11th Province (or 4th Territory)?
March 28, 2025 at 4:21 PM
In a perfect world, when it comes time to make the movie about the Trump Presidency (working title: Cluster Fucks are Real), the lead actor should be an AI recreation of John Banner of Hogan's Heroes fame. "I know nothing!!"

You're shooting?
March 17, 2025 at 6:44 PM
How much did Trump contribute to Schumer's elections? Did they play golf together at fundraisers? You would be amazed at how cheaply these politicians can be bought. Just because he calls himself a Democrat means squat.
