Trump's little performance for Putin is easier to understand in context. His "Day One" promises have been a disaster. Inflation didn't end, prices didn't drop (whether groceries or gas), and most notably, the war in Ukraine didn't end. He has to find a scapegoat.

Saw a story about mathematician Kurt Gödel who almost refused naturalization as US citizen due to what he saw as a dangerous flaw in their Constitution whereby a dictator could take power. Article V seems to be weak. Maybe that’s in the works.
