I've really missed being able to safely bike to my office thanks to that 401 trail closure. Still don't understand why MTO needsfour or five years for it when the city can erect protective scaffolding to keep public pathways open.

I'd go down, but want the space for regulars. I met the Imperial many years ago for a post-Pride pint, and when I taught at the adjacent university used to go there for post-exam pints with my students.

Absolutely. Definitely appreciated Perks putting him in his place with "You can't vote against shelters on Monday and for encampment clearing on Thursday."

Saw Nunziata - who is much more on the right wing of council - also losing her patience with his performances. At least Holyday brings props!

Which is a good articulation of the problem.

Drove past one of these in a yard full of snow removal equipment near Downsview Park today.

Did Holyday forget he was supposed to vote against it?

Toronto is increasingly becoming a city of renters, so these kinds of changes would have an outsized impact here versus other municipalities across the province. The mayor has also premised much of her political strategy since 2023 on winning support from renters.

Sessional contracts are down about 40% at some schools. So yay to top talent, but coming at the cost of dozens of course sections each as a result of Ford's gutting of funding.
