"This heaven gives me migraine."

Old enough to know better at the ends of the earth (New Zealand). I am large and contain multitudes, all of them intensely irritating. (Same-sex) married. Catholic. Conservative-ish. Cis-male. Jane Austen cultist.
Oh, makes perfect sense to me - don't think I'm alone in having the formative reader experience of baptism-by-Virago into the religion of women's writing morphed into the gradual realisation that so many of these old books were written by the It Girls and Grande Dames of their days.

I'm going to have to sit with this one, but definitely a hell of a way to shake up the format auto-pilot long-running podcasts can get stuck in. (Which might be a bad thing on "if it ain't broke, don't diddle with it" grounds, and fair enough, still if you're boring yourself you're unlikely...

Looks like the US isn't the only place where "defund the Police" should be levelled up to "Make the forensic accountants comfortable for a line audit all the way back to the dawn of time, and make everyone re-apply for their jobs from the Commissioner on down."

OK, that passes a plausibility sniff-test. I just think its still legit to ask questions about when and for who this superabundance of editorial restraint flows like a mighty torrent, and when it dries up entirely.

Cool, Senator. So how do you think your colleagues who spat in the faces of everyone who turned out last Tuesday and might just feel like they weren't treated entirely honestly is a win?

Yeah, its not like I've never thrashed a bit well past its use-by like the proverbial dead horse, but this is just ultra-cringe.

'Tis funny because 'tis true - no matter how dirty and despicable you feel in the morning.

Evil. Extremely annoying. But also... not wrong. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

The Rings of Saturn? Respect! Sebald is hard work - not that there's anything wrong with that.

This is an acceptable alternative to screaming every time I see the faces of Churck Schumer and the rest of the Vichy Caucus. Challenge accepted!

Someone really needs to take The Post aside and read their look for filth - because gurl, serving petty petty realness is just making you look washed-out and chonky.
