Did you know that humpback whales will lift their newborn baby calf on their nose to help them learn how to take a breath? This baby humpback was probably only a week or less old. You can tell by how small it is, the slightly bent over dorsal fin and the lighter color. #hump

Whales getting entangled with fishing nets is an increasing problem. This mom to a newborn baby had just had a rescue attempt the day before. They cut as much away as they could. I watched her breach and throwing her tail trying to free herself. 🙏🏼

This was so cool to see! This mom and baby humpback whale had a play date with a mom and baby dolphin! They chased around out front of @ketocondo for hours!
