I do think his spell in England has really helped.
Crowley & Prendergast have both been great coming off the bench, less so starting, so even if it's not Byrne I'd like a 3rd contender to be come along & light a match under both their asses 😅

Yeah everyone has been talking about & praising Doak this season, but when he came off the bench he looked just ok after Ben's game!
I think that's 1 position though that would be even more difficult to break into as JGP & Casey have it covered 😕

See this is why I'd like him to get a chance off the bench, for Australia.
Especially when you look at the issues they have around that position themselves.
Jack has been really good coming off the bench last 2 games but I do think SA will target him as they know his defence is weak 🫣

I watched him most recently on Saturday for the Ireland A squad, & to be honest I can't even remember if he was kicking from hand?
But the general consensus is that either him or Postlethwaite were POTM.
I don't know if he'd be any better than those 2 but I think he should get a chance to show.

I would love that to happen & over the years we've always had 2 pushing each other for the role but usually one just proves too good (I used to hate when ROG got picked over Humphreys even though ROG was loads better at international 😂)
