Great book. I still have my hardback one from the late 80s or early 90s. 🙂

They are. I got the first edition as an electronic copy, and bitterly regretted it. I need my wargaming books to be a physical one I can flip through and stick notes into! 😃

Based on your updates, I went and looked up Triumph. Wound up getting a copy for myself. 👍

Great to see - thank you! I’d heard of the method, but hadn’t ever seen it in practice. 🙂

Is there any way to get it, nowadays? Beyond tracking down an old second-hand copy online, I mean. Somebody must’ve scanned or uploaded it somewhere!

The way people perform in a job often has very little to do with the person, and is often down to the conditions the employer has created - often outside your control. So don’t be too hard on yourself.

Exactly. To be honest, I’m glad to hear other folk felt the same way. I felt like a right grump for not enjoying it!

I abandoned it because it was dull, then tried returning to the saved game months later. Started it up and realised I was on the threshold of the big climactic mission, and hadn’t even noticed!

It really is, isn’t it? I’m always convinced that I’ll soon have enough to play any game or scenario, but you could always spot something new and start hankering after it too! 😀
