This week CPT Scotland Director @PaulWhite_CPT appeared on Channel 5 News to discuss the Scottish Government's removal of peak rail fares, pointing out that the previous pilot scheme had failed to meet it's own objectives.

Today we have responded to SPT's Regional Bus Strategy consultation. The strategy sets out a vision for more frequent, more reliable, more affordable and easier to use buses in the region.

First Bus' Duncan Cameron also noted the value of investing in bus to businesses and the wider economy, with £1 investment generating £4.55 in economic benefits.

Busy day for bus stats in Scotland!
Transport Scotland 2023-24 stats show a 13% increase in patronage and Transport Focus' Your Bus Journey found that 86% of people in Scotland are satisfied with their journeys.
