If you don't exercise the muscle you lose it. Developers who transition to managers very quickly forget how to write and maintain code, and I can't imagine the same won't happen to devs who transition to ai managers. And the act of solving problems is where ideas come from!

For what it's worth, as a software dev (not games): I like writing code and I like figuring out problems! It bums me out that this job is turning into "just sign off on what the AI spits out". And how am I supposed to maintain my skills and learn new ones if I don't actually do the work?

I'm fairly sure I only first became aware of Crank when Crank 2: High Voltage came out, and I didn't see either of them until just tonight; that said, crank 2 is even more crank than the first crank. It's like if Miike was a british guy making a movie about LA.

I feel the same way about crank 2 as I feel about the oil rig fire scene in there will be blood. Movies don't do that, and I'm glad I saw that awful thing happen on screen even if it's not good.

I am enjoying it, but it's a little frustrating how much it's a game of "spot the flask churches, traveling salesman a path between them, fight/gather whatever's along the way". Maybe I'm just bad at it but I'd like if there were more reasons to go other places on the map
