apropos of nothing but it's funny how certain folks will always try to chase the style of studio ghibli/miyazaki but only on a surface level and never tackle the themes of environmentalism, anti-war, and empathy i.e. the stuff that made those movies masterpieces

I’m having more and more trouble getting into anime that are mostly about the action. I dropped off Shangri-La frontier because the story drop off after the first boss fight was so bad. And then solo leveling maybe I didn’t make it far enough but the protag just slowly becomes more and more edgy.
