A couple acres. A little crafty. A lot of chaos.
Ooooh! I’m not sure I have the gumption to knit for our pups - our mutt is 65lbs and our bloodhound mix is pushing 70 😅

Can you show a picture of what you’re seeing? I think I have an idea of what you’re describing, but just want to confirm so I don’t offer bad advice :)

Tell Archie that Poppy says Hi!

She’s been in mourning that I moved out couch and took away her tanning spot. So she’s been moping in my daughter’s chair 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

If using worsted weight yarn, wrap the yarn loosely around the widest part of your hand. Each wrap is roughly 10-stitches (and a little extra) worth of yarn for a long tail cast on.

The Rikke Hat is a favorite. Single skein of DK weight, garter in the round, mindless and quick to make, stunning finish.

I think if you did a crochet top and finished the edges in knitting, or vice versa, it would look very intentional and put together!

If you’re not liking the look, I’ve found that a crochet cast one mimics the look of a standard bind-off edge.

Update! I am apparently losing my marbles. It’s 130 stitches cast-on, so 2 extra decrease sections/repeats than the original pattern.

Your needle might be a smidge small, but it seems proportionate to the yarn you have. Don’t pull between stitches. As you work the next stitch, it’s going to tighten the previous one and then you’ll over-tighten what you have already done.

Once you get going, it’s all FLOWY.

My first project was truly horrifying to look at, 20 years later, its muscle memory and so so smooth.

Also, welcome to knitting!!! It takes practice, but lots of us are happy to help :) I taught knitting classes at a LYS for over 6 years and have a couple published patterns on Ravelry. Feel free to ask for help as needed! ☺️

Looks like you have either half-finished a few stitches (where they angle differently) or wrapped your yarn clockwise (which angles the stitch differently).
