The seat of government torn down and replaced by a gaudy tower, you say?

The alternate 1985 in "Back to the Future 2" looking prophetic af right about now.

(The character of Biff Tannen was, in fact, inspired by Donald Trump.)

Wow, the meme wasn't kidding when it said "one size fits most". I mean, this *almost* fits perfectly.

I did say I was going to design another programming language, one with a simple proof language embedded in it.

Well, I have the start of the proof language now. Its working title is "Lome" (The programming language will have its own name, when it appears.)

THE FEELING WHEN you see that you might have to do more than the bare minimum in order to hold the line.

It's not lost yet. Keep it up!

Perfect illustration of "form follows function". The container bin looks the way it does because of its purpose, what it's built to do. The Cybertruck otoh has no fucking reason to look the way it does, which is why it's so ugly. #aesthetics #technoaesthetics #technology #design

It's difficult to do anything artistic during a civilizational crisis, have you noticed?

It's weird enough just seeing the leader of the USA (late of the Free World) go around the globe demanding tribute, while back in the Homeland everything is being utterly razed.

This won't end well.

Another thing I think about a lot is this quote by JK Rowling.

Partly because I'm not sure I believe her.

Partly because it makes me think about why I do the things that I do as well.

More "useful" software - I've put together a Python script to create a set of bookmarklets for copying special characters to the clipboard. Because I'm too lazy to learn how to key them in.

More progress on UampirNexol. Programs can now call routines, even externally-defined routines such as the KERNAL routines in the VIC-20 ROM.

Milestone: the UampirNexol implementation can now produce executable 6502 programs. The screenshot shows running this:

LDA# 0x41 ; STA &0x0400

What makes this interesting to me is that the above line of code is an expression that evaluates to a function that maps machine states to machine states.
