Check out this article that I originally penned in 2023, but was recently updated to reflect current methodology! It serves as an introduction to stats, analytics, and everything you need to know to understand my work! (yes, it's for CCSG, I am a long-suffering ATO fan after all).

CCSG By The Numbers: An Introduction to Statistics (2024 Remastered)
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Due to a website migration, and further updates in my methodology, it was necessary to rewrite the article I penned in the winter of 2023/24. This is essentially the same article as tha...

The first-ever #NSL player card is by my money the best player from the 2025 season, Lisa Pechersky! While presenting mediocre-but-still-impressive attacking numbers, it was her ability to draw fouls and fight for the ball that made her season so impressive!

Part 2 of the ATO breakdown has arrived! A couple of surprises, more small samples...the mushy meh part of the roster. It's a short one!

CCSG By The Numbers: 2025 Roster Breakdown (Part 2)
Welcome back to part two of the five-part series in which the 2025 ATO roster is broken down analytically! Following the first part, wherein some comically low sample sizes were analyzed (available to...

Don't worry, I'm also working on getting those #NSL cards done! In the meantime, here are some of the average p90 statistical differences I noticed between the NSL and the CPL (2019 for the new-league factor, and 2025 for a projectible "final" outcome). Does anything jump out?

Last in the award features is the best goal-scorer in league history, Sam Salter! Before you get up in arms, this is a RATE metric, not volume. Obviously, I would still classify Salter as the best striker in 2025, and his three awards prove that!

Based on the model, this is the 2025 #CanPL TOTS! If I were choosing myself, I'd make a few changes, don't get me wrong. Any surprising additions or omissions?

Ndom would be a coup for anyone at this level. In a down year for CBs he was among the cream of the crop, better than his peers in every important category.

Would anyone happen to have a reliable database for NSL positions? The stuff I’m getting is contradictory.

Cool to see his year over year progression. Here’s the article I wrote last year when the Wanderers signed him to a new contract and it was all about potential.
Analysis: Wanderers bet on Tiago Coimbra's potential given strong underlying numbers
The Halifax Wanderers and striker Tiago Coimbra have agreed to a new contract, keeping the young attacker in Atlantic Canada until potentially 2028. Looking at the move critically, Coimbra's new deal...

A lot of you pegged Coimbra for a breakout season, and breakout he did! He was one of the deadliest strikers on a rate basis, held his own in the air, and drew his fair share of fouls. A deserving U21 winner, and possibly onto better things!

Next up on the docket is the 2025 DPOY, Dan Nimick! He improved a lot of his defensive metrics from last season, surprisingly, and I can't offer any complaints about his win!

Starting off this year is, pardon the possible bias, possibly the most talented player ever to grace the #CanPL, and author of one of the most iconic goals of this calendar year!
