Genealogy, honest history, and fiber arts are my passion. Rescuing senior dogs gives me life. E-Learning is my work. Cpaag forever! Human rights for all is my politics.
The pope needs to excommunicate him out of Catholicism. We need to impeach him. And he needs to be tried in the Hague for war crimes so he will be found guilty (because folks here are too spineless to do so).

Talk to your admin for the WebEx accounts - they can turn it off in the Control Hub. Unfortunately when WebEx added the AI features to the assistant they took our rights as users away to turn it on and off.

You're right, my mistake. Same problem though.

Air ball? If you think anyone who posts anything critical is a bot, I feel sorry for your lack of literacy skills.

And also wtf is up with praising Nazis? You know better than anyone how that stuff is going to go down. Almost like you're trying to rage bait deflect from the horrible article.

Taylor, I've been a fan and the article left with me so many questions that I didn't feel it was up to standard. And seeing all of the contracts and other items people have posted, it's clear this article should never have gone to press. If you had all of this beforehand you should have provided it.

It would send a message if they did do that. The problem is we might have to hold some of them down to do so (so to speak not literally). Like Chuck Schumer polling his imaginary friends and deciding to vote with MAGA the last time ...

We're facing similar issues in genealogy. All we've been able to agree on is that the images should be labeled AI generated, because the "repaired" images of people look drastically different than the original person.
Producing a "historic style" image would be closer to what they are doing.

Considering their people on that app argue all the time with their AI that it's wrong because it doesn't agree with their racism, I can just see how this is going to devolve.

This is fascinating to read as it shows the uniqueness of academia vs. corporate education. In our case, it takes more design hours, but once its designed, its good to go and does take about equivalent time. But we don't have the demands of so many graded assignments like it sound like y'all have.

I'm sure that's the point of why they wrote it, so that they could use it and people would say "ooh...NYT had it? Must be trustworthy " 🙈

A lot of it is fad or corporate mandate. There was a study if I recall correctly that said the more skilled you are, the less you need LLMs....but the corporate is still going to force it use 24/7.
I've found them handy for limited use cases but nowhere near the hype.

It's good when it is 1 voice with a clear audio pickup. I do use it on occasion and find only minor cleanup. Taking the easy ones frees me up to do the much harder ones with unclear pickup and multiple voices.
I've found it to be better than auto CC, which makes my videos more accessible.

Well the next step would be add more sharks! Cause we can totally do that 😜

Oh probably. The $13m number has been quoted a few places but it's based on the previous operating budget adjusted for inflation. And it doesn't take into account any of the repairs and upgrades needed - last I heard it was crumbling down.

The weird part is, he also doesn't care about money - for example, the stupid Alcatraz thing. It brings in $60m a year in revenue for the gov. But he wants to change that to spending $13+m a year to turn it into a prison again. That's what's so frustrating about dealing with him and his cronies.

At least the host from that show was entertaining 😁
