I've had the same happen to me, but in the UK. Phone didn't ring, and there were no missed calls. They still blamed me. Shouldn't happen anywhere.

And in reality it's a waste of company resources. If people don't feel supported, it drains them and affects their performance.

Fascism works by identifying an out-group (Jews, blacks, Muslims, trans, gays, gypsies, migrants, refugees, disabled - it doesn't matter) and then blaming them for everything. That justifies sanctions against the out-group, and then against others.

Don't be a fascist.

And immediately I want an edit feature. For a different reason, of course.
