October is a great time of year to visit Normandy. Most places are still open and the weather is usually pretty good. I go most years in October. Avoids the summer crowds.

Yes. A pension that most people can only dream of for just a few weeks in office. Trouble is she's a zealot. Not only that a zealot with a who feels badly treated by the "establishment".

Fortunately he survived intact and is about to emigrate to Canada with his girlfriend. I still have the bullet sitting on my shelf of random bits picked up over years of battlefield wandering.

Mont Ormel is one of my favourite Normandy sites. First went there over 20 years ago. Then the summit still contained many spent bullet cases. My 8 year old found a live bullet which he only showed me that evening. He'd been walking around with it in his trouser pocket all day!

Always find the Norman French very friendly. Go out for a Sunday walk and everyone is bonjouring!

Some people are still trying to sell older editions at silly prices. I still have this edition from decades ago. 80p I think I paid.
