I would guess the Trump administration terrorizing immigrants (Including many drivers and passengers) in Chicago is much more disruptive to Lyft’s bottom line, but business only bares its teeth to advocate against liberal policies.

I’m reminded of Michele Gelfand’s research that argues threats (like hospital closures) push people towards autocrats.

When the CEO class faces modest regulations by democrats, they sure as hell know how to organize and overwhelm opposition. But in the face of an actual threat? 🤷

This really does feel like the opening of a dystopian movie.
