9 years of dust and webs in my computer. The front filter was so densely caked with dust that light couldn't pass through it 😂

It's 4/13, of course I'm going to reminisce about Homestuck! I was so inspired by it and made a ton of fanart back then. I managed to be involved with the fandom just the right amount to get joy out of it without losing my faith in humanity. (OK I had lost that already long ago)

Anyway here's Dave.
One of my old Homestuck drawings from 2011. It's a rather clean pencil sketch of Dave Strider posed with his Timetables. His sunglasses are perched on his head, revealing red eyes that match his color scheme.

Spending the holiday with my mom, just eating a lot and watching movies 💖 After a walk in the snow, we watched Excalibur. Movies simply do not look this good anymore, omg.

Now it's time for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I haven't seen it in probably 10 years.

A few months ago I started playing Animal Crossing again, and honestly it's been so good for my mental health! 💞 I realized that I had most of the achievements, so now I'm trying to get them all 👀 The KK one is brutal...

Here's my recreation of the Unicorn in Captivity tapestry featuring Julian✨

The "Unicorn in Captivity" tapestry reimagined in Animal Crossing style. Julian sits under an apple tree surrounded by flowers. He is trapped inside a fence, but is not chained to the tree like in the original. There is no need because in Animal Crossing, we are all incapable of hopping a fence. The original "Unicorn in Captivity" tapestry. (Also called "The Unicorn Rests in a Garden".) According to the Met, "He is tethered to a tree and constrained by a fence, but the chain is not secure and the fence is low enough to leap over: The unicorn could escape if he wished. Clearly, however, his confinement is a happy one ..." An apt description of Julian in Animal Crossing, who is never allowed to leave my island ever. But he's happy so don't worry about it.

This is so incredibly cool 😩 I love the mirror analogy so much.
"Gravitational lensing is important to this experiment. The lens, consisting of a cluster of galaxies that is situated between the supernova and us, bends the supernova’s light into multiple images. This is similar to how a trifold vanity mirror presents three different images of a person sitting in front of it. In the Webb image, this was demonstrated right before our eyes in that the middle image was flipped relative to the other two images, a ‘lensing’ effect predicted by theory. “To achieve three images, the light traveled along three different paths. Time to get some art of my aliens on here! 😤 They exist in the Star Wars universe but are uninvolved with the main stories. I made them to be background characters in my friend's fic, and now I'm in love with them 😂
