Uzume and Sarutahiko later married and had children. They are both also associated with Inari and are enshrined at Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto along with many other shrines.

Uzume and Sarutahiko later married and had children. They are both also associated with Inari and are enshrined at Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto along with many other shrines.

Their passage was blocked by Sarutahiko, the leader of the earthly kami who did not want to relinquish control of the earthly realm. It is said that Uzume flirted with Sarutahiko to convince him to let them pass, even baring her breasts. Her strategy worked and they were able to pass through.
