These photos are my gentle interpretation of a snow flower, and of how something tender can still open and grow, even in the deepest winter. ❄️🤍

Did you know there are flowers that bloom in the snow? Snowdrops, crocus, and hellebores don’t wait for comfort. They quietly open their faces to the cold light, as if winter itself were an invitation. They don’t ask if the season is ready. They bloom because it is simply their time.

A getaway cabin helps when the holiday craziness hits.

The first thing I think about each Saturday is how the animals are doing outside. I worry about the birds finding food, so I leave them a scoop every day. The chickens are well, mostly staying in their coop and darting out to eat, then running back inside. The donkeys are blanketed

The reason I love photographing in the snow is that it feels like wrapping warmth around stillness. Fabric breathing against winter air. A quiet permission to be tender where the world is bare. It reminds me that beauty does not wait for comfort, and that I am allowed to glow, even in the cold.

These images are my attempt to echo that sense of wonder and playfulness, holding a quiet emotional truth even in its simplicity.

There is something about deer in the snow that opens my heart. Their movement feels like joy made visible, gentle and wild at the same time. Photography is my favorite way to express these moments because it lets me translate feeling rather than document facts.

An afternoon loosens its grip on time. Stems rest in my hands, quiet and breathing. A watering can becomes a small vessel of order, of care. Light drifts across petals, nothing asks to be finished. The day hums softly, as if this is all it ever wanted.

I do so adore a little matcha latte with a dusting of cacao powder. The perfect little pick me up for a mid morning low. 🤍

But underneath, everything has changed. I have grown and shifted. Time has taught me that what truly matters is simple. Meaning is found in how we love and care for the people around us, and in choosing that love again and again.

2016 feels far away, like another lifetime, even though parts of it still feel familiar. On the surface, much of life looks the same, following the same rhythms.

Orange in the snow feels like a conversation between seasons. The contrast wakes my eyes, and when the sun slips through the ice it turns the moment into something fleeting and alive, warmth held inside cold.

Baby meow always assumes that when I lay down, that’s her cue to also lay down. My clingy sweet girl. I love her so much, but I never get a moment of peace 😆 sending you so much love, wherever you are in the world.
