We also need to need to stop letting them make dems be scared of being labeled as a "liberal" or "progressive" if you want to join the democratic party as a politician this speech from JFK should be mandatory reading as he nails it.

His chances were 2015 and 2016 to actually not suck as a human being. We're way past the point now, he's shown us and told us who he is. I ain't giving him a chance, he hasn't earned it.

Yeah I mean say hypothetical 3rd party candidate gets 32 Major Party candidate A gets 33 and Major Party candidate B gets 35, Candidate B in 48 out of 50 states gets all of the electoral votes for those states. The other two get nothing.

Well, we have a first past the post system until we get rid of the electoral college, and honestly, until third parties start winning local and state level races they will never be taken seriously nor should they.

Did we lean into identity politics in the wrong way? Sure, if we frame it as human rights and it benefits all of society, not just subgroup, then we can win on that premise. We also have to stop trying to rebuild the Obama coalition and build a better coalition for the future.

We allowed the far right to define the conversation around trans and LGBT issues rather than us forcefully defending them as human rights. We allowed them to treat rights as a limited resource rather than making it understood forcefully that others having rights don't diminish yours. 3/

Kamala ran a perfectly cromulent campaign. The issue is that we, as Dems (and the national party heads, are guilty as hell of this), allowed the far right to define us rather than us defining ourselves. We allowed them to push us as stalinists for wanting good HC for everyone 2/

Exactly, I'll also add that I don't care if misinformation conforms to my leanings or what I want to be true. I'll still call it out. Misinformation is bad no matter who does it. That said, I don't think the issue is they ran a bad campaign per se. 1/

One of the devs in simulation v2 meant to patch out Trumpism 2.0 but a few misplaced semi colons led us to accidentally patching out Rex Tillerson. Apologies for the mistake but the project managers pushed us to make the dealines.
