So while I'm still gonna speak out as passionately as ever about human rights and such here, I also think I'm gonna use this platform to promote my life long dream of recording my own album and also my dev projects too. Along with talk Wrestling and stuff too.

Very true. Personally for me a block should be because of a specific accounts behavior not because they simply disagree with me or because they disagree with someone else.
Regarding blocklists, don't blindly follow them unless you have a high level of trust and personally know the creator of the list. Previously on Twitter these lists were used to create division amongst online communities and blindly silenced valuable activists, and unrelated third parties.
