Personally I’ve decided to wait a while before buying. I buy Nintendo consoles for their first party games and I was a little underwhelmed with the Direct. Mario Kart and Donkey Kong look excellent, but I would have liked one more heavy hitter this year to really hook me in.

I think discussing powerscaling as an idea within the context of one series can be interesting. But the “my anime dad can beat up your anime dad” stuff is very dumb, especially when they make up terms like “planetary-level” or whatever.

I’m enjoying Prodeus much more overall. I’ve seen people call it a hybrid of Quake and Brutal Doom and that feels pretty accurate. It’s a lot more faithful to the games that inspired it imo.
