Ah, that's different! The whole point is to be understood, so in that situation, you edit your post with a ETA [Edited To Add] marker: "ETA: Oops! I meant to say XYZ" (just an example, the oops is me being cute) Keep the original but update, or note in the ETA that you changed it

Ignore it because grammatical correctness is the least of our worries. I'm a linguist and English language teacher, so trust me when I say that being understood is more important than being understood according to some relatively arbitrary set of rules. Post away!

I do understand it. Pre-Internet, historians depended on journals, letters, etc to record someone's life. What if the only thing the next famous person wrote was a tweet? TFG's famous unhinged tweets are needed for history to judge. The pure data of millions that can be studied. It's all potential
