Campus Mask Ban Policy Report Form Walkthrough. URL: tinyurl.com/ReportCampusMaskBans . What is there to fill out? Below are screenshots of questions on the Policy Report Form. There are three questions in the left column. First question: University/College name. Second question: Is the policy that you are reporting proposed, or already in effect? (Choose one option: “Policy proposed (not in effect yet)”, “Policy already in effect”, or “Other:”). Third question: Campuses affected: (Check all that apply: ​​”School only has one campus”, “Specific campuses”, “All campuses”, “System-wide”, “Other:”). The next question, shown in the right column, reads as: “What type of restrictive mask policy is it at this time? You may select multiple types to best reflect the policy.” Options include: “Masks prohibited at certain events.”, “Masks prohibited in certain locations.”, “Masks prohibited in certain situations.”, ​​”Masks must be removed at the request of [somebody with authority].”, “Masks prohibited in classrooms.”, “Masks prohibited in dorms or campus housing.”, “Total ban on masks in any context.”, “People are punished for covering their faces but there is no official policy banning it.”, Other, please specify. We’ll say it again: Criminalizing masks does not make New Yorkers safer.

In reality, it puts our health at risk, opens the floodgates for racist enforcement, threatens to exile some people with disabilities from society, and undermines protections for protestors.

NEW: New York Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul is reviving her push to ban masks and is urging New York State lawmakers to include a mask ban in the upcoming state budget.

This move endangers public health and threatens civil liberties.

Important: When calling government officials about mask bans, specify "any law that would criminalize masking, whether as an enhancement or a ban."

(Many lawmakers don't consider current versions "bans" despite restricting mask use.)
