Let the Tex-odus begin!
I'm just not sure how the 100% tariff applies. Like if someone wants to move to Texas, they have to bring a friend who is then handed over to the state?

Apparently the 50% tariff on Brazil has not resulted in lower coffee prices in the United States. It seems that a larger tariff might be required.

I find it stunning that SpaceX, despite self-funding 90% of the program, still had $2B left over to invest in xAI. They must be rolling in dough.

🚨 Tesla Revenue and Earnings - Q3 Update

By selling 50k units from inventory in Q3, Tesla was able to record revenue in the quarter. But earnings aren't keeping pace. Q4 should see a decline in both.

The clock is ticking at Tesla. Musk is in a race to transfer as much wealth as he can to "O'Rourke Enterprises" (x.AI). That's the only way his fortune survives.

One thing I’ve learned while driving across Michigan is that it’s the last place on earth where you can still see Pontiac Aztecs in the wild. My trip earlier this week was no exception. First Aztec spotted at mile marker 6. @bustedride.bsky.social

It could be that Berlin production is being prioritized for export early in the quarter. So far this year, 25% of Berlin production has been exported outside of the EU/UK. Data comes from Troy Teslike's spreadsheet.

🚨 Tesla Shanghai Production Update

Production at GF3 recovered back to a normal level in Q3. But because of a weak first half, production is still down 9.5% YTD.
Also of note, inventory has been whittled down to a normal EOQ level.

🚨 Tesla Production and Inventory - Q3 Update

Tesla deliveries in Q3 were bolstered by expiring US incentives and inventory that was added during the first half of the year.
Beyond that, production has been stagnant for three years. In fact, 2025 production YTD is running 7% behind 2024.

🚨 Tesla China Insured - Q3 Update

We have data indicating Tesla retail sales in China for Q3.
Insured units for weeks 27-39 totaled 165,350.
Up 35k from Q2, but down 16k from Q3 last year.
YTD down 6% compared to last year.
Unlikely to match last year's sales total in China.

Some follow up data summarizing Tesla plant utilization.
In the most recent 4 quarters, this is what plant utilization looked like.

Observation - Troy’s European and Export numbers don’t add up to the production number. So either there are exports that he’s unable to track, or Tesla is building inventory.
Question – Is Tesla obligated to maintain a min production volume at Giga-Berlin? If so, this could blow up quickly.
