Valentine's Prompt: What would you tell your younger self about love?

Here's to everyone who might be feeling disappointed, #grief, angry, guilty, or jealous as we ring in the new year. These feelings are important to acknowledge but don't seem to have the same PR as the "positive" feelings. Let's talk about that more in 2025.

Reminded me of something I read, only funnier.

I often hear people speak about "Two Cape Bretons."

One #CapeBreton boasts the 3rd "Most Beautiful Island in the World."

One Cape Breton has a 32.4% #ChildPoverty rate - #StatisticsCanada 2022.

Has anyone else heard this?

Many studies have been done showing how sharing food can support cooperation and community building. #Psychologydegree with a side of #Englishdegree is my sweet spot. A research paper, but make it sound pretty.

Have you encountered this book @memacdonald.bsky.social It depicts ritual. The author wrote "Goodnight Moon" & "The Runaway Bunny". I found a copy by chance at the local library, "Fill a bag for five dollars". I'm keeping it in public circulation in my lending library.

One of the best parts of youth groups is the after-class conversations with guardians.

Kids are quick to tell you when the vibes are OFF.

Kudos to all the guardians for allowing their youths to participate in a space that offers the freedom to inspire, humor, and humble us as caregivers.
