When I tell my lady (who grew up middle class) stories from back in the day she's amazed I haven't been locked up 🤣.

I have seen too much and done too much to be walking around with headphones on. A lot of cats I came up with are in prison or in the ground. I never expected to live to be 30. You ain't gone just catch me slipping like that.

On paper Carter was the kind of religious southerner that conservatives usually love. He was just from the opposite party.
