Gavin Newsome, Wes Moore, Eric Adams, and Kathy Hochul have been especially terrible on these issues in the past few years.

I’m very opposed to closing phones at SSA, but I have a hard time believing those stats on improved wait times. I spent 6 hours on hold trying to get through to social security in Dec. 2024. I tried to call several other times in 12/2024, but estimated wait time was measured in hours every time!
