The US was leading in so many areas: intelligence, medical research, humanitarian aid, national defense. Thanks to trump, the country has changed. Many looked upon the US with respect and admiration. Not anymore. Now, it's confusion, disgust and fear.

It is already far too late to avert a tragedy. We have destroyed our reputation as a country, permanently. We have the contempt of the entire world as they watch us elect morons as our leaders. Can we do anything to mitigate the tragedy? I hope so. But I doubt it.
