Flagstaff and Sedona have even nicer climates in my opinion (I love snow), but all of the desert SW suffers from water issues and I believe they can only get worse.
Depending on why you want to leave Denver, some places in Arizona may have the same issues.

As someone who grew up in Arizona (Phoenix area, but spend a bit of time most years in Tucson now), Tucson’s climate is nicer. Despite being further south, Tucson is usually cooler than Phoenix because of its elevation.
That being said, both were headed for water problems even before climate change.

I was recruited by West Point when I was a senior in high school & spent a week there between my junior & senior years. During that week, we attended various classes, one of which was on military law.
I remember distinctly being told in that class that you had a duty to disobey an illegal order.

Any first year law student should know that self defense does not require you to turn around and come back to hit them again. The threat must be immediate.
