New stuff over at the Journal Sentinel: Racine Case star Michael Farr is going to South Dakota State to play football for a reason. He's pretty damn good.

But, it's what Farr did in the locker room that changed the game last night.

South Dakota State recruit Michael Farr not only took over in a win over Kenosha Bradford on the field, he showed why he's also a leader off the field.

With Hispanic Heritage Month winding down, I took a trip to Milwaukee's south side for a visit for St. Anthony hitter and reigning Lake City Conference POY Gaby Benitez.

She's more than just a captain.

South Dakota State is building quite a football pipeline in the state of Wisconsin.

I watched one of its recruits tally a pick-six, a downed punt at the 1, a handful of tackles & a punt return TD 92 seconds into the game.

It's good to have you back, (high school) football.

I went out north last night to catch up with Wauwatosa East, a program that wasn't sure if they'd have a football season just a few weeks ago after the flooding in the Milwaukee area.

Birthday week was a success.

Sure, Friday didn’t go well as this day, but a Sweet 16 with a head coach who rebuilt the whole roster and the relationship with the fan base … I’ll take it.

Thank you for the birthday wishes and yes, I’m hashtag old.
