Working to make theater a more equitable place
I think you’re just overestimating how well know she was until very very recently.

I don’t think most people even knew who she is until she took over CBS. Hell, I only recently found out she’s female as I only ever heard her name and Barry is also a man’s name. TIL she’s Jewish. I had no clue who she was until 2 months ago

Or people with disabilities or the elderly who can only get it to their own mailbox

I don’t believe in Hell, but I’ll make an exception for these ghouls

The joke is always about the “intern” running social media, but this actually reads like they hired someone’s 13 year old to do it. Yikes!

Anyway, my premium increase was nearly triple for next year. It’s clear the insurance companies are anticipating the loss of income as government subsidies go away and are counting on us folks who have no choice but to buy to make up the difference

People who don’t need specialists may forgo coverage, thinking they’re healthy and don’t need much. But life has a way of biting you in the ass. For me this year it was a literal bite as I got Lyme disease and needed extra Dr visits, blood work, and antibiotics. Fun.

I did the math and considering I must see my endocrinologist 2x a year, I’ll ultimately pay $500 less with higher premiums. But I had to dig through my (very confusing) medical bills this year to figure out what that savings might be
December 23, 2025 at 2:01 PM
I’m in my late 40s, a cancer survivor, and need to see specialists to live. I don’t live an unhealthy life at all. This year I nearly hit my deductible of $2500 (just $85 shy) when the same visits last year would have only cost me a copay. This would increase in 26 unless I pay more on premiums
December 23, 2025 at 2:01 PM
For 2026, the initial plan offered by Amerihealth was only around $100 more, but also reduced my coverage even more. I’d have to pay for specialists AND extra visits to my PCP for illness. I had to find another plan that had copays, meaning paying more, to get the same coverage as in 2024
December 23, 2025 at 2:01 PM
In 2025 that increase included a change from copay for specialists to 40% coinsurance after deductible. I went from paying $45 per visit to my endocrinologist and $0 on bloodwork to needing to pay it all (after a “discount”)

2020: $403.33
2021: $447.65 (+$79.73)
2022: $435.07 (-$12.58)
2023: $511.61 (+$76.54)
2024: $548.75 (+37.14)
2025: $546.88 (+$48.13)
2026: $729.21 (+$132.33)

In 2022 I had thyroid cancer so the 2023 jump could explain that.

There’s few pictures that are confirmed to not be from Epstein. The MJ ones are from a public fund raiser in DC and the redacted faces are his kids!

I don’t think I would know who George Soros is if he walked up to me and shook my hand! I literally only hear about him if a conservative brings him up. They think about him way more than I do!
December 21, 2025 at 11:59 PM
My guess is she is just as terrible as he is. You don’t marry someone like him unless you’re also awful. You certainly don’t stand by him as he runs next to someone as awful as Trump. I don’t feel particularly bad for her. I feel bad for the kids.

Also me!

I don’t get a subsidy - my premiums on ACA increased $130/month

My husband gets an employer plan. His went up about $200/month

This. Effects. Us. All. As the insurers anticipate people dropping and losing that gov cash, the rest of us see higher premiums.
December 17, 2025 at 3:03 PM
lol the ACA is incredibly popular!

I’ve had far too much false hope recently, but I do hope this ruins him
