Centrists like Mr. Muckle love to stand for nothing, fight for nothing, live for nothing, all while posturing weird neoliberal sentiments about law and order and morality. Truly spineless behavior (don’t care if you identify as a centrist or not, you’re acting like one).

But, on the bright side, I get to finish my summer graduate research, design my 1301 and 1302 courses, and work on my thesis for the next couple of weeks before school starts. Then it’s balls to the walls until graduation in December (hopefully).

If you want to check out Laura Gonzales’s writing on her projects in El Paso and discussion on translanguage and English/Spanish fluidity in borderlands I am happy to share.

My favorite part of this class has been localization and accessibility. Recently I used Laura Gonzales's scholarship to discuss how white supremacy and colonizing language makes it so that older folks have a harder time accessing healthcare and younger folks education in Texas borderlands.

For my final portfolio for this class, I had to design a week's worth of pedagogy and then add a 1000 word teaching Philosphy which I decided to make more of a hybrid research in innovation essay paired with philosophy. My focus is of course ethics and the weaponization of digital political rhetoric
