I have a hard time transitioning between pieces of art I invest lots of time in. I can't seem to help the displaced energy. Even with many other projects needing my attention, it always feels like a part of me has died.

I suppose I just need to keep learning to work through this feeling.

did a 16th century fashion study but made it spoopy
bust of a figure dress in a 16th century kirtle with a slashed bodice and chemise overflowing at the shoulders where voluminous sleeves are tied, though the figure herself is a bit strange with skin tags and growth on the crown of her head, hidden by a skull mask with eyes glowing in the sockets.

The sword is chained to his armor. Atop of the shoulder pauldrons, there are two burning candles. He has an odd faceplate, reminiscent of spider eyes, and the metal seems t be melted like a candle wax.

The head is very upright and pulled slightly back, like they are trying to look cute and harmless. (I don't think they are cute and harmless. Approach with caution.) A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a very squat purple toad alien. It wasn’t meant to be an alien, but something happened, and this was the result. The metallic purple paint highlights seemed logical after that, as did the red metallic eyes with yellow irises and sideways black pupils in the toad’s very large eyes. The smile was intentional. This is a very happy purple alien toad. Above the toad’s back is written “toadally confident in my weird”, with a gold star at each end, and surrounded by red metallic dots. Reference: 19th century botanical toad prints, but it’s kind of moot at this point. A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a purple floating ghost rat, inspired by the Japanese artist Yoshitoshi and his “Thirty-Six Ghosts”. The rat is from the story of a priest who became so angry he turned into a rat. My rat is not angry, but they are coloured in shade of pale purple, with glowing eyes and outlines, floating against a purple-black background.
