The Art Downloader has been converted from JavaScript to Python, eliminating Puppeteer and Chromium dependencies that caused issues for some users. Artwork now downloads faster!

#PSBBN Mini Update 1: Some users were getting confused when partitioning the drive. The installer now shows the OPL partition size, makes it clear you’re only partitioning the remaining space, and creates the POPS partition first.

Look what I stumbled across on AliExpress — a mini PS2 with an optical drive! It even has some kind of IDE resurrector mod. Sadly, it only comes with a 128GB drive, so it’s not compatible with the PSBBN Definitive Patch… maybe upgradable if there's room inside!

The game installer now automatically creates HDD-OSD icons. If a game's cover exists in the OPL Manager Art Database, an icon will be generated.
All new icons are automatically contributed to the HDD-OSD Icon Database! #PS2 #PlayStation #retrogaming

archive.org is currently "temporarily offline". That means new users will not be able to install the PSBBN Definitive English Patch until it's back, as the image is hosted there. Hopefully, it will be back soon...

If you're using WSL and the drive is mounted in Windows, it will also be mounted in Linux at /mnt/{drive-letter}

Yes! I recommend making an APPS folder in __common and placing OPNPS2LD.ELF there. Then you just need to edit __sysconf/PS2BBL/CONFIG.INI, for example:
LK_CIRCLE_E1 = hdd0:__common:pfs:/APPS/OPNPS2LD.ELF

The #PSBBN art database continues to grow. Now at over 3,000 images. A script weeds out rejects. This one is by far the funniest. This is genuinely the art work that was downloaded for Destroy All Humans and it ended up in someone's PSBBN Game Channel 🤣

I got a MemCard Pro 2 today. It mostly works with #PSBBN, but there's an issue with OPL-Launcher-BDM. It creates a random memory card each time you launch a game before the game ID is applied. I'll look into fixing this.
