Khalid has been brave in every other book by far. Even JLD gave him focus on threats beyond the scope of the JSA yet he was more mature & intelligent in those books.

I’m not really liking this cowardly characterization of DC’s only relevant Muslim superhero. He is a EMT & physician among other things. Kent Nelson wasn’t magically scared & Hakid has faced far worse threats in his own origin story almost TEN YEARS ago.

I’m not really liking this cowardly characterization of DC’s only relevant Muslim superhero. He is a EMT & physician among other things. Kent Nelson wasn’t magically scared & Hakid has faced far worse threats in his own origin story almost TEN YEARS ago.

I’ve been waiting for Beth Chapel to have a cool moment for years. I’m so glad the JSA book is choosing to utilize her over her white counterparts. She’s long overdue to have some cool moments. Also the art is pretty good on top of that.

Enjoying JSA by @jefflemire171.bsky.social but his Khalid is killing me; Khalid was a 22 year old by Levitz, a summs cum laude college graduate, adopted Stitch (a teenager), and now a doctor making him like 26.
